Cinematography

Cinematography

In terms of cinematography, there are many different shot types that are used within films. There are:      -Extreme Long Shots: A shot from an extremely long distance
-Long Shots: A shot from a long way away
-Full shots: A shot of the full body of the people/person on-screen
-Mid-Shot: A shot from the waist up or waist down
-Close-Up: A shot that is particularly zoomed in to perhaps show an expression
-Extreme Close-Up: A shot that is so close to show a minute detail
-Crane Shots: A shot that zooms out and upwards almost as if the camera is on a crane
-Point Of View Shot: A shot that looks like it's what the character can see
Angles include:
- Birds eye angle: looking directly down on a scene
- High angle: looks down on a subject
- Eye-level angle: an equal footing with the character(s)
- Low angle: looking up at a character
- Dutch angle: used to demonstrate confusion of a character

My search for the music.

Today I found the music for the ident (logo) at the opening of the film. The name of the music is "Monster Attack". http://www.jewelbeat.com/free/free-instrumental-music.htm and searched for music that would suit go together well with the opening logo. This was a well suited jingle in my opinion. It goes well with the titles "Helios Studios". As the titles fade into the screen, the music begins, and as it fades out, the music fades out with it. The choice for the piece of music was very carefully thought of to ensure that the film flows.
